2010 De Forville, Nebbiolo d'Alba "San Rocco" Piedmonte, Italy. The San Rocco Nebbiolo sources its fruit from vineyards that border both the Barolo and Barbaresco districts. In fact it could easily be mistaken for a young vine “baby Barolo.” Perfumed and dry with medium-weight tannins, the 2010 is a traditional effort with dusty black cherry fruit, fennel, tar and hints of violets.
