1953 Chateau Doisy Daene, Sauternes, Dessert Wine, France. Burnished gold color, needs 10- 20 minutes in the decanter to settle down. Medium intensity nose of apricots, pears, over-ripe apples. Palate is delicate yet balanced, fills out with air to give a medium intensity sauternes with apple and pear flavors, maybe a touch of grapefruit. Drink on its own or with less sweet desserts or foie gras. Perfect candidate for matching with chicken or fish in a cream sauce. Availability: Currently Out of Stock
