2009 Andre & Michel Quenard, Savoie Chignin Bergeron, Foudre. (Roussanne) The 2009 Quenard Chignin Bergeron is a remarkable wine of power and finesse that could only come from Savoie. The palate boasts a medley of stone fruits and loads of mineraly spice. White figs, elderflower, Fuji apple and lightly toasted brioche are present on the nose and palate. Aged in large (neutral) oak casks, there is an added rich, creamy roundness to the wine that comes from soft oak tannins.
