2010 Domaine A. & P. de Villaine "La Digoine" Cote While most of the soils of Bouzeron are better suited for white wine varietals, some spots are best associated with Pinot Noir. This is the case for the piece of land called “La Digoine” which is located at the foot of the Bouzeron slope where the soil is both redder and deeper. Arguably the most complex of all three reds, La Digoine offers up a rich medley of stewed red and black fruits, a hint of pipe smoke and cedar, perfumed spice and violet pastilles.
